|There’s a great new resource in Austin for nonprofits.|
(And we aren’t just saying that because we helped make it happen!)
Last year, consultants (like us) who serve Austin’s nonprofit community began meeting regularly.
We learned quickly that there are a lot of us — and we cover a lot of ground. Some of us are fundraisers. But there are specialists in advocacy, marketing, HR, operations, managing collaborations and coalitions, and a lot more.
As a group, we agreed it would be beneficial if there were some kind of directory of all the types of services available to Austin nonprofits. We like projects like that — so we volunteered to put it together.
Then we heard from Monica Williams of Giving City. She wrote about the project in the Statesman. And she offered to take our low-fi PDF version and turn it into what it really should be: a searchable, updatable, eternally living resource for every nonprofit in town.
So — here you go! Bookmark it, share it, use it in good health. And here’s to working in a community that values collaboration over competition. After all, we all share the same goal: a thriving nonprofit sector.
