Day Fariss is the Managing Partner at Corcoran & Co. Her market analysis and management skills were honed over a 20-year career in national-level management and sales for several high-profile fashion houses. Day then transitioned to non-profit fundraising, including a tenure as Development Manager for Foundation Communities, an Austin-based organization that provides low-income housing and support services.
With Corcoran & Co, Day served 18 months as Interim Development Director for The Contemporary Austin during the museum’s merger (between the former Austin Museum of Art and Arthouse) and through its transition to new executive leadership. She has provided interim services, assessments, strategic planning and counsel for Mission Capital, Special Olympics Texas, Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas, El Paso Museum of Art, Austin Habitat for Humanity, and many others. She graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism.
